Pushing Toward Grace

It's not hard to survive living on this planet - but like Alice, you have to run as hard as you can to stay in the same place.

Like Alice and the Red Queen - all the running you do will still wind up where you are.
Sorry I haven't written you lately.

But my running has kept me very, very busy.

And that's the point today.

Remember the old Huna, "Energy flows where attention goes."

This is life in this universe, in this world, in our neighborhood - and in this body you occupy Now.

What you want and need in this world is right outside you. Just reach out and grasp it, or let it go. Doesn't matter which. For the "world is as you think it."

When you set goals, you are setting yourself running toward a path. When you've decided you have attained that goal, then it arrives. The rest of it, and all the work you do, is just the journey.

Simple.

And every step you take is just as you've wanted it to be all this time.

Where you ultimately wind up is Grace. Or not. Your choice.

Grace = Zen = Christ Consciousness = etc., etc.  Call it anything you want.

There is a point where nothing really matters, because Nothing really matters. (And when that statement makes sense, so will the rest of this.)

All the work I've been doing lately has more than kept me amused. I've managed to get enough books selling to not have to have a day job anymore, which is some relief.  It lets me do and think whatever I want. (Like I don't have to shave but once a week - and then only because it starts itching too much.) And running around in t-shirts and blue jeans every day is quite comfortable. The most major decisions I have about wardrobe is what color t-shirt to wear.  (In winter, I put a heavy coat over when I go outside, so the color is moot - but an amusing split-second of living.)

OK - I've been working at assembling a bunch of material for you, so you can buy it and these books and whatnot will help you on your way to wherever you want to wind up.

How this can be done is that I've narrowed down life's work into four separate, interacting elements and then populated them all with a selection of different books written by different people and published by me - just for you.

Those four elements (Mind, Body, Value, and Bliss) all add up to Grace.

As I covered in "Freedom Is" - you can wind up at Grace whenever you want. Or go there and come back and then go there again, over and over. Your choice. It can take you months, lifetimes, or you can be there in the next instant.

How long it takes is what you consider the journey to be.

How hard you have to work at it is how hard you consider it is to attain.

Whatever you want around you is exactly what shows up.

Everything else is just entertainment.

Anyway - all the work I've been doing lately is just to simply give you more stuff to entertain yourself with along the journey. Too simple. (And it even only came to me while I was writing this, although I've been here before. Cute, eh? "...where energy flows.")

Soon, I'll have another massive set of books up for you to enjoy. Lots of them. And like Alan Watts, I'll be able to give you audio and video commentary on how these interact with each other and how they can help you improve your life and living - all that sort of stuff.

Lots to do. Lots to keep me and you entertained on our respective journeys.

Today's post was simply to tell you that you're on your way to where you want to be - and that you'll wind up there whenever you want to. Quite simple. Quite deadly earnest.

But the real lesson is to enjoy each moment of your journey as much as you can. Starting Now.

You are now your own prophet, your own religion.

Of course, you've always known this to be true.

Any and all freedom simply is.

Here's a clue:

religion of self + now = life. purpose gives meaning.

Let's make this simple - you are your own prophet, your own religious founder.

Of course, this probably ruffles someone's feathers somewhere. That's life, after all. Where someone chooses to be ruffled, then so be it. For the most part, I simply choose my life to be ruffle-free.

Levenson would call this "hootless."

But again, we are a  bit ahead of our logic.

1. There are only 2 parts to life: Self and Now.
2. Self + Now = Life.
3. Purpose gives Life meaning.

There's your religion. That's makes you a prophet and a founder.

If you boil any religion down, you are really left with just those points.

Note that government isn't necessarily part of this. Nor is any particular "extreme" belief system.

All "routes out" will ultimately take you to this point. (You could study self-help, or you could study Shakespeare - all roads lead to Rome, all Thought leads to Enlightenment.)

Below this, or before, or senior - is "Just Be." That's your capstone.

Or at least the way I see it from here. Your mileage may differ. Probably will, in fact.

My job has been to boil all humankind's massive knowledge and wisdom down to just this single blog post.

Yet we do have a few other points to cover...

This doesn't negate or diminish anything. You can still believe what you want. No one can take that way from you without your own decision. And you can have it all back just as simply.

This above gives you complete freedom from any government or personal oppression being heaped on you at any time - now or in the future. (Future, of course, being a fiction. There is only Now, really.) It also makes you completely responsible for what "happens" to you.

Your personal identity is another fiction, there is only Self. (Watch out for those feathers ruffling again...) But we all like to play the game of Individuality. This is a form of purpose, which gives life meaning.

Go ahead, play with the logic of this.

There are only 2 axioms of Life and Living:
  • Now.
  • Self.
(Everything else is more than self-evident. The above two you create on your own.)

There is one test to Living: "Does this bring you more Peace?" Some would say, "Does this make your Life simpler?"

For peace is also created, but it's a more basic feeling than any of the rest.

So you want to change your Now, Self, Life, and Purpose so that you can experience more Peace in your life.

Or not.

Because I'm only here to tell you what I found. I'm just a prophet you can follow or not. You are your own prophet, actually.

You are a religion of one.

Practically, no two individuals can have exactly the same religion, because believing in individuality means no two people are exactly the same.

It's another game we play.

But I wanted to share this with you.

This gives you a religion you can remember on the five fingers of one hand.

Yes, I'm writing this in the early am because I woke from yet another dream, which had this as it's meaning. So my job is to get up out of my warm bed and sit in front of my computer to lay this out for you.

You're welcome.

Play around with this and you'll see it's probably the most basic statement of "How Things Are" as has been ever stated.

Of course, I'm not the first to state this. Jesus the Christ and many other philosophers have mentioned this through and before our histories.

You can "follow" any of them and come to this point - and surpass it. ("You will do even greater things than these.")

All of your efforts will ultimately wind up with you achieving some high state of personal freedom, zen, karma, whatever you want to call it.

Or not.

All I'm telling you here is that you have a choice.

That formula above actually describes Immortality. It also can make you insanely rich and happy at the same time. It can and does give you everything you have and anything you could want.

That formula also defines all the success routes you could possibly follow. Like that "Law of Attraction" which comes around every century or so.

It also means that whatever religious system you are following - Christianity, Judaism, the Koran, Wicca, or being a politician - you're right.

All I'm saying is that you can use these five points to improve your quality of living and those around you. You can be free and live in a high state of peace any time you want, for as long as you want.

Take any one of those five: Self, Now, Life, Purpose, Peace - and work to improve them. I've told you everything you need to know.

As the old phrase goes: The simpler, the better.

OK?

See you around. I've got a religion to run. And a warm bed to get back to.

One more thing: this particular blog post is now in the public domain - use it however you want.

Have fun.

Robert

PS. Immortality? Oh, yeah - like a dark room, you can't shovel the dark out, only turn on a light. There is no Death, only absence of Life. And as there is Self ("we are all connected") and there is Now. Now + Self = Life. It's just a logic loop, you see...

That's Life - That's Entertainment!

Not too surprising: advertising mirrors real life.

Entertainment Center: Kentucky Do-Nothing

Of course, it has to make sense - ads mirror real life. Go figure.

How to use this? Back it up a bit.

We know that people compare their stories to others around them in order to improve their own plot and character.

Life essentially is communication via emotions.

Ads use emotions to get us to act - where the balance between emotion and logic meets. (You decide by emotion and justify by logic.)

When I was reviewing some "swipe" files of famous ads (the ones which just continued to run unchanged for decades) - I found a remarkable scene: Ads are entertainment.

They read like Fox News, any mainstream media outlet, and any popular magazine (like National Inquirer.)

People actually want to read a good ad - much like people will slow down to see a traffic accident.

Because it helps them improve their lives some how, some way.

I had to get out and away from most ads for a couple of decades before I could actually learn what they were all about.

Ads use emotion to communicate effectively. Humankind hasn't changed their behavior (much) even though the swapped skins for (pant)suits long ago.

Ads are just as entertaining as anything else we watch or read. In fact, the ads between the shows on broadcast TV are just almost as time-consuming as the show itself.

And is why books are still held as valuable all these years after Gutenberg and his Printing Press - reason? The plot and characters remains constant. On broadcast TV, their is  a show for 10-15 minutes, then 5-10 minutes of ads, which are either 60, 30, or 15 seconds long. Each has a different director, plot, and characters. That's the only reason that I see for turning them off. (And gives a new income for a well-liked show - have the characters do the ads in between the show segments, much like "Ron Burgundy".)

Ad mirror life, which is just the same emotional responses we've trained in for so very long.

Of course, the outlet is to get enlightened.

It's just interesting coming back this way again and seeing it with a new view.

Approaching ads as entertainment gives them another reason for existence.

If the screenwriters and directors realized that people were expecting their entertainment to inspire action, maybe we'd see better shows.

Life is just life. For 997% out there, it's all emotional content studied and acted out.

Definitely going to be more fun from here on...

Why Being a Modern-Day Prophet or Saviour Isn't in the Cards

Now, those of you who have followed this right along will see right through that headline.

It's just not worth the trouble right now - since you'll just play into the hands of those vested interests who are dead set to keep everyone down (although we all know that's not possible.)

What such an action would do would be to raise a very few people up really quickly - for some this is a "miracle" and others it's becoming "enlightened."

And, as I've also covered before, we already have tons of people walking this earth right now which are in that last state and doing just fine.

So the bigger challenge is to get people up to that point instead of making others into "miracle-makers" or doing so ourselves.

Sure, it's completely possible. And anyone could be the next global prophet if they wanted to. It just takes a powerfully, always-on connection to the spiritual and continual faith in that connection. Analytically, I could probably lay out the rest of the steps, and maybe even find earlier authors who wrote that up long ago.

My preference is to live a simple life, with everything that I or those I come into contact with could ever possibly need or want.

And by getting in to entertainment (as contrasted with my over-wound prose in self-help and spiritual training), you'd actually start reaching maybe 20 percent or so and helping them make their lives better in some respect.

That's different than creating "miracles" for less than 1 percent, and meanwhile getting yourself pilloried by the extremists who can't readily accept someone enlightening them.

Entertainment can always be brushed off as "mere entertainment" - but the ideas will stick.

- - - -

With this, I'm slowly forcing myself to drop everything else and simply get into what I feel I should be doing. As far more effective in reaching people with these basic truths.

Just did a scrape of this site today, and found it goes back to 2006 and also said I was trying to get into just cartooning way back then.

(Reason I did the scrape was to see if I can't get this into better formats so you can read it as a book. I've got about three transcripts back there, plus some nice collections of "switchwords" which are buried way back there.  Just drop me a line on how you'd like your book formatted...) And when I get a chance, I'll post these transcripts as pages for your use.

Back to my distractions - some marketing to do today and meanwhile I keep pushing my backburner stuff to the front so we can all benefit.
